Your tasks

  • Responsible for the procurement of raw materials needed for the manufacturing of high, low and medium voltage cables, with focus on metals and compounds, as well as the semi-finished goods required for the same scope
  • Following the entire procurement process, from the analysis of the needs until the issue of the relevant purchase orders and contracts, as well as the follow-up activities
  • Participation in the development of the procurement strategy and in conducting price and contracts negotiations with national and international suppliers, in collaboration with the Procurement Management, aiming at optimizing costs, quality, delivery times and stock levels
  • Regular market analysis, scouting and evaluation of suppliers, risk management and audits
  • Continuous data analysis and reporting 

Your skills

  • Technical or business management education, together with a sound technical understanding 
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in procurement 
  • Ideally knowledge of the cable industry and the corresponding procurement market, mainly raw materials 
  • Excellent negotiating and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organisational orientation, with ability to work on tasks along with prioritizing work and managing deadlines
  • Proven communication and intercultural skills and confidence in dealing with different stakeholders
  • Very good command of written and spoken German and English. Other foreign languages (preferably Italian) are an advantage
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an advantage)
