Analytics Strategist (f/m/d)

As Axpo's Analytics Strategist, you will act as business owner of our analytics ecosystem, steering its strategic enhancement to meet and exceed all business needs while making data interaction a fun experience.

In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with teams in Europe, the US, and Singapore, diving deep into their unique challenges, prioritizing needs, and spearheading solutions alongside our adept IT professionals. Your leadership will not only guide Axpo in the adoption of leading-edge technologies and methodologies but also cultivate a data-centric culture that drives our business to new heights.

You will lead a dedicated team of analytics super users who engage directly with various trading desks and users, ensuring seamless onboarding and maximizing the value of our analytics capabilities throughout the company.

What you will do:


  • Own and evolve the analytics ecosystem, including data and model platforms, in alignment with our strategic goals.

  • Serve as a bridge between IT product owners and the DnA Council, ensuring effective communication and alignment on progress and challenges.

  • Work closely with the CDAO, Data Strategist, and DnA Change/Adoption Manager to lead our data and analytics competencies forward.

  • Lead and mentor a team of power users who facilitate ecosystem adoption across the company and simultaneously identify latest business requirements.

  • Manage the budget for the analytics ecosystem, optimizing resource use and financial expenditure.

  • Foster relationships with external experts to keep our practices and insights at the cutting edge.

What you bring & who you are:


  • A university degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or similar qualification is preferred.

  • More than 5 years of experience in data and analytics, with a deep understanding of value creation through analytics in the energy or commodity trading sectors.

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex data concepts for various stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
