The role

We seek a highly motivated Principle Solutions Engineer for our NGO and UN business with proven expertise in Salesforce Customer Success Platform and Industry applications.

In collaboration with our sales executives, your role will be to understand our customer’s business needs and challenges, and from that, build value-based demonstrations / use cases /proof of concepts (POCs) and deliver these, showcasing just how our Salesforce Industries Insurance applications can help to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.

As such, you are the trusted advisor to our customers while aiding the customer’s transformational journey and you feel comfortable communicating solutions around systems architecture to rooms of enterprise architects, as well as you are explaining the business value to Business owners, stakeholders and C-level Execs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and own the entire solution cycle including discovery, building vision, responding to RFx’s, building and delivering product demonstrations.

  • Write responses to RFx’s, sales and architecture presentations

  • Understand and clearly articulate the benefits of the full Salesforce platform & clouds to customers at all levels, like IT Staff, Architects, Business users, managers and CxO-level executives.

  • Ability to translate strategies and problems into business solutions.

  • To develop and deliver innovative custom solutions, including solution concepts to key decision-makers to address their business issues and needs showing business value

  • Build and manage relationships Industry experience, incorporating and developing a point of view based on Salesforce’s solutions.

  • Display initiative, self-motivation and deliver high-quality results along with meeting all expectations for both internal and external customers.

  • Drive & support building communities of practice and help deliver events within the customer community.

  • Contribute to building a positive, can-do, high-performance culture

  • Present compelling Salesforce & partner solutions while supporting relationships with customers and partners.

  • Have a strong interest in growing your career and participating in our internal training programs and mentorship initiatives.

  • Travel to customer sites primarily in EMEA, occasionally East Coast US.

What we look for in you (requirements)

  • Customer Communication: A deep understanding of the unique, complex business requirements of customers within the United Nations/Big International NGO sector and translating/communicating those needs into a compelling vision and roadmap in a language they can understand.

  • Knowing your business: Industry experience in the impact sector. (read: Understanding of program & portfolio management, grants management, fundraising & public engagement, fund accounting, payment gateways, ...)

  • Project Management: Project and orchestration skills to lead sophisticated multi-disciplinary pre-sales engagements.

  • Value Selling: Ability to support & deliver customer engagements from executive briefings through to multi-day events.

  • Customer Communication: Proven collaboration skills within geographically dispersed Salesforce & Customer teams with a deep understanding of cultural nuance.

  • Value Selling: Excellent oral, written, presentation, interpersonal communication and relationship skills as well as the ability to explain ideas and engage with your audience

  • Risk Mitigation: Ability to work as part of a team and being inquisitive, practical and passionate about technology and sharing knowledge.

  • Working within a fast-paced sales environment driven by customer schedules.

  • Solutioning: Direct experience with SaaS software such as Salesforce.com, Netsuite, Workday, Service-Now etc. 

  • Risk Mitigation: Understanding how the wider customer environment and architecture works with proposed solutions and addressing customer risks and concerns.

  • Solutioning: 7+ years experience in Pre-sales environments or 5+ years or a technical leadership role in a CRM or ERP vendor or partner. 

  • Solutioning: Demonstrated understanding of Data, Analytics and AI.

  • Willingness to travel in EMEA and occasionally globally.

  • Right to work in Switzerland/Schengen/UK + Fluency in English required.


 

Technical Skills

  • Demonstrable experience in Cloud Computing, CRM, Data and AI.

  • Experience in Low-Code or Programming language knowledge is preferred.

  • Knowledge of structured data interchange formats including JSON and XML.

  • Experience in Web services integration SOAP, REST, OAuth.

  • Web language knowledge (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery).

  • Project management skills (certification preferred)

  • Salesforce certification to ADM201 and DEV401 or equivalent from other vendors. 

Preferred Skills

  • As the role requires an understanding of our customers' business transformation process, Consulting experience and/or a MBA/Strategy/Change/Business qualification is preferred.
