For our Headquarter in Rancate, we are looking to hire an extremely motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D.

As a mechanical engineer, you will help to shape the next generation of Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) system for Printed Circuit Boards (PCBA).

  • Mechanical design of precise mechanical assemblies;
  • Design of custom parts to package optics and electronics into compact spaces;
  • Design opto-mechanical mounts to provide precise alignment, adjustment, and robustness to meet critical optical performance requirements;
  • Concept design to scope development effort and product configuration;
  • Risk identification and reduction through feasibility prototypes, analysis and testing;
  • Collaborate with production on design manufacturability;
  • Consult with manufacturing partners concerning the fabrication of the parts;
  • Assemble and test final hardware;
  • Create product drawings and project documents;
  • Transition of new designs to production and support existing production.
  • Master or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience;
  • Experience in designing precise mechanical assemblies for linear motion;
  • Experience in designing custom machined and fabricated parts;
  • Experience in designing opto-mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies is a plus;
  • Proficient in mechanical CAD (Solidworks is preferred) and exposure to CAD data management.
  • Experience in structural analysis and heat transfer analysis.
  • Experience/knowledge of manufacturing processes such as low volume sheet metal.
  • Experience in a structured development process from the definition of requirements to concept design, to detail design, to testing, and implementation into production.
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English.
