S&OP Capacity planner
Responsible to manage all aspects of Capacity planning. Getting, consolidating and completing all relevant capacity data (as well if necessary additionally outside system eg: not yet installed plannable machines, ...) in order to enable: creating the basis for S&OP (committed output, identify excess/lack of capacity in order to trigger mitigating actions) and resource planning (mid to long term, machines and staff).
YOUR CHALLENGES
- Develop, implement and manage corporate resource planning process that incorporates all resources (assets, staff) and provides transparency about excess/lack of capacities
- Performs analysis on:
- forecast on component and resource level in order to indicate major developments and proactively identifies potentially impacted business (volume/BU/customer/region) in order to provide the relevant basis for S&OP meetings and decisions
- actual demand and forecasted demand (FC accuracy on MRP result), investigates on major deviations identifying and solving root causes
- identifying clusters/patterns in order to optimize capacity planning/strategy
- Coordinate with cross-functional business teams to develop the best strategy to support customer demand
- Communicate with external counterparts (suppliers) if needed for coordination & clarification in terms of relevant changes of FC
- Establish, implement and change planning strategies supporting relevant counterparts (eg.: PLSCM, production and materials scheduling, etc.)
- Coordinate and work with the relevant (cross-functional) departments as well as external counterparts (suppliers) to ensure and optimize fulfillment of forecasted volumes and required flexibility
- Participates as a member of operations team making cross-functional operational decisions
YOUR COMPETENCIES
- Experience in planning of customer forecast, market intelligence and/or S&OP process would be a advantage
- Bachelor`s or Master`s degree in supply chain etc. preferably with a focus on materials management and production planning
- Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
- Ability to demonstrate solid written and oral communication skills
- Maintain and provide current understanding of industry best practices
- Good analytical problem solving ability
- Fluent in English, ability to negotiate in speaking and writing
