Das Spital Wallis (HVS) ist eine autonome öffentlich-rechtliche Anstalt mit Aufgaben im öffentlichen Interesse der Walliser Bevölkerung und der anderen Patienten, denen es hochwertige Versorgungsqualität anbietet. Das Spital Wallis, entstanden 2004 aus dem Zusammenschluss von 10 Einrichtungen, ist heute im gesamten Kanton vertreten, in dem es mit fast 5'700 Mitarbeitern einer der grössten Arbeitgeber darstellt. Die Arbeit dieser Mitarbeiter hat die Betreuung von 40'400 stationären Patienten und die Sicherstellung von 680'000 ambulanten Konsultationen ermöglicht. Der Jahresumsatz liegt bei über 792 Mio. Franken.

Against a restated 2019 baseline, we are targeting to reduce our Scope 1, 2 and 3 industrial emissions by 15% by the end of 2026, 25% by the end of 2030, 50% by the end of 2035 and we have an ambition to achieve net zero industrial emissions by the end of 2050, subject to a supportive policy environment.
