IT Specialist/Assistant IT Manager

THE OPPORTUNITY
The IT Specialist/ Assistant IT Manager works with the Back Office HR & IT team to support and ensure the efficient and effective daily office operations, smooth internal workflow, and coordination of processes.
THE WORK (IT & Network Responsibilities)
• Provide secondary day-to-day user and desktop support to employees in Singapore office, resolving escalated requests and incidents from mci group service desk level one team.
• Prepare user IT onboarding including account creation and setup, allocation and deployment of laptops, basic user training.
• Liaise with local IT vendor (external) and remote Group IT (internal) teams to evaluate or troubleshoot IT issues.
• Work with HQ IT teams and various stakeholders on implementation, upgrades, and transformation projects.
• Manage the general maintenance and upkeep of IT tools and equipment (hardware and software) including computers, accessories, AV, and printers.
• Update IT inventory records & aassist with IT procurement.
• Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems.
• Implement and execute network security measures.
• Monitor security certificates and company compliance of requirements.
• Offer technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer problems.
• Install and update company software and hardware as needed.
• Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer items.
• Maintenance of office biometrics and relevant reports.

Platform Responsibilities - Accelo
• Managing, provisioning, configuring, and maintaining the underlying platform.
• Continuous Identifying, monitoring and improvising of platform performance.
• Attending and responding to incidents, outages, or other disruptions in platform service.
• Providing support to users or customers experiencing issues with the platform
• Offering training sessions or documentation to help users effectively utilize the platform’s features
• Managing user accounts and permissions as needed
• Engaging with platform vendors or service providers to address issues or request assistance.
• Managing vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Evaluating new vendor solutions or upgrades to existing platforms.
Technology Innovation
• Developing a technology innovation strategy aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
• Identifying emerging technologies and trends relevant to the organization's industry and market.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders across departments (e.g., R&D, marketing, operations) to gather input and support for innovation initiatives.
• Reviewing and refining the organization's technology innovation strategy based on feedback and results.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and optimization in innovation processes.
THE HIVE
Reporting to HR Manager and IT Project Manager, the IT Specialist/Assistant IT Manager works closely with the back-office team and is the first point of contact for employees regarding general office IT matters.
THE MUST HAVE
• Fluent in English, additional Asian language is a bonus.
• Good knowledge of computer systems
• Microsoft 365
THE GOOD TO HAVE
• IT Diploma/Degree qualification
• 5 years of relevant work experience
• Experience with project management is advantageous.
• A multitasker, organised, prioritise work independently as well as in a team.
• Demonstrate a customer service mindset with a proactive disposition.
• Possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a sense of urgency.
