Accounting Manager

To help us achieve our ambitious mission, we are now searching for an Accounting Manager to join our team in Rolle.

The Accounting Manager performs and evaluates all day-to-day accounting activities. In addition, they establish financial status by developing and implementing processes and procedures for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting financial information. They are also responsible for managing the accounting team (2 direct reports), helping audit and ledger preparation, and supporting managers across teams with financial procedures.   

Responsibilities:

    • Perform and supervise the overall accounting for General Ledger, Payroll, Inventory and Fixed Assets 
    • Perform the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation
    • Conduct some flux analysis on a monthly basis
    • Prepare quarterly interco reconciliation and communicate any discrepancy
    • Prepare monthly reconciliation of inventory and lead the quarterly process of inventory provision
    • Ensure accurate and timely year end closing under IFRS and local GAAP  
    • Collaborate with external accountants and auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance  
    • Assist with compilation of information for preparation of tax returns, VAT and other regulatory reporting  
    • Conduct regular 1:1 meeting with team members. 
    • Establish and monitor employee goals and objectives 
    • Create a workspace that encourages creativity and innovation to get the most out of the team 

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in accounting or finance or related field 
  • More than 5 years' experience in accounting for a US Public Company
  • Must have a good understanding of IFRS or other accounting standards
  • Experience with ERP systems, knowledge of Dynamics 365 is a plus, proficient in Excel  
  • CPA preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in audit (Big 4 firms) a must
  • Mastery of the Microsoft 360 Suite 
  • Self-starter and deadline driven person, with high degree of independency  
  • Critical thinker with ability to articulate issues as they arise and suggest possible solutions 
  • Must be fluent in English
