Job Description

The Magnolia CMS Architect is responsible for the maintenance, upgrade, and optimization of our Magnolia Content Management System (CMS) platform. This role involves regular system refreshes, platform upgrades, configuration of Single Sign-On (SSO), setting up new environments, implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, managing Jenkins jobs, configuring Content Delivery Networks (CDN), conducting system cleanup, and ensuring reliable backup processes.

Responsibilities:

1. Regular CMS Refresh: Perform periodic system refreshes to ensure the Magnolia CMS platform remains up-to-date, secure, and performs optimally.

2. Platform Upgrade: Manage and execute Magnolia CMS platform upgrades, ensuring a smooth transition to the latest stable versions while minimizing downtime and potential issues.

3. SSO Configuration: Configure and maintain Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication mechanisms for seamless user access to the Magnolia CMS platform.

4. New Environment Setup: Set up and configure new Magnolia CMS environments as needed, including development, staging, and production environments, adhering to best practices and security standards.

5. CI/CD Implementation: Implement and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for efficient and automated build, testing, and deployment processes.

6. Jenkins Jobs: Develop and maintain Jenkins jobs for automating various tasks related to the Magnolia CMS platform, such as builds, deployments, and monitoring.

7. CDN Configuration: Configure and manage Content Delivery Networks (CDN) for efficient content distribution and optimization of website performance.

8. System Cleanup: Perform regular system cleanup tasks, including removing obsolete data, optimizing databases, and ensuring efficient resource utilization.

9. Backup and Recovery: Implement and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity in case of system failures or disasters.

10. Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Document processes, configurations, and best practices related to the Magnolia CMS platform, ensuring knowledge transfer and enabling seamless handover or collaboration with other team members.
