Your role

As an Oracle DBA at Bank J. Safra Sarasin you are and "change the bank" and provide continuous operative support to our infrastructure, based on state of the art solutions/technologies and troubleshooting (incident management), as well as implementing change requests (RFC) in line with change management.

Your responsibilities

• Monitoring, tuning, backup of the Oracle DB 
• Optimize resources utilization by analyzing and proposing improvements on the database level in conjunction with the life cycle management of applications hosted
• Recovery and troubleshooting in the 2nd level area incl. on-call service
• Development and implementation of automation solutions for database operation
• Collaboration in the further development and optimization of existing infrastructures and active support of migration projects
• Collaboration in projects and planning of technical tasks

Your profile

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or completed apprenticeship or similar education
• 5 years of practical experience in the field of Oracle DB engineering and operations
  
• Experience with Linux (RHEL) and AIX know-how is required
• Knowledge in the area of Postgres, MS SQL, is an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as ability to weight problems and set priorities
• Willingness to take responsibility and ability to work under pressure
• Fluency in English, fluency in German is a plus
