The Institute of Geotechnical Engineering within the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering conducts a wide range of research in the fields of geotechnical engineering, geomechanics, rock mechanics and tunnelling. Our institute has several laboratories and two geotechnical centrifuges, while also carrying field tests. We are looking for an immediate temporary electronics support for the next 1 year, with a possible extension for another year.

Job description


  • Development of new electronic measuring and control devices for geotechnical engineering

  • Development of control systems for remote-controlled electric and servo-hydraulic actuators

  • Creation of hardware and software (Labview) for field and lab applications

  • Maintenance of electronic controls and lab and field devices

Your profile


  • Training as an electronics technician/automation technician/mechatronics technician and several years of professional experience

  • Studies at a technical college or university of applied sciences (and/or several years of experience), or higher education are a plus

  • Programming skills (Labview)

  • Experience in measurement and control technologies

  • Ability to work independently and responsibly

  • Fluent in English or German
