Zurich North America is adding a Business Liaison for our Underwriting University team/organization. Our preference is to have this position based out of our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois, but we are also open to talent located anywhere in the country / United States. We are offering the flexibility to work both in the office and remotely. You will collaborate with your manager to set a hybrid schedule that supports you, your customers, and the team.

The Business Liaison plays a critical role in the success of Zurich’s Underwriting University and is instrumental in building upon underwriting employees’ development capabilities to ensure we can hire, retain, and promote top talent. In this role, you will consult with business leaders, analyze needs, and facilitate training. You will build or manage the design of learning solutions key to the continued growth of our employees, which is critical to the continued success and growth of Zurich North America. You will be responsible for managing learning development and deployment projects.

Underwriting University’s Business Liaison:

  • Consult with business leaders on business problems, learning needs, and methods to maximize underwriter production
  • Works closely with key business contacts, Subject Matter Experts, and other Learning & Development team members to validate needs, identify options, scope effort, define objectives, design solution structure, develop materials, and test usability
  • Designs or leads the development of learning solutions within the insurance, sales, professional development, and technical system portfolios for all levels of the underwriting organization

Key Accountabilities:

  • Consult with business partners/leaders to determine needs
  • Conduct needs analysis and define solutions to close underwriting performance gaps or improve quality and productivity-
  • Build strong relationships with Underwriting University team, business partners/leaders, Subject Matter Experts, and learners
  • Define and manage project deliverables, timelines, and resource needs; report progress to Underwriting University and project stakeholders
  • Build project and implementation plans and provide regular project and effort status updates to business partners and SMEs
  • Determine the best method and modality for the delivery of learning when designing and developing core and supporting material
  • Lead and conduct learning solution pilots and train-the-trainer activities
  • Facilitate virtual and in-person learning sessions

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Communications or Project Management area

OR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Communications or Project Management area

AND

  • Experience in strategic and operational consulting or business systems integration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional Certification
  • In-depth, strong problem solving analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Insurance Industry Experience

Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable range of compensation for roles. For additional information about our Total Rewards, click here. Other rewards may include short term incentive bonuses and merit increases. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill, and education. The salary provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. The starting salary range for this position is $96,300.00 - $157,700.00.
