Powering Switzerland

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and reliable operation of our new Kubernetes-based container platform. You will work closely with various teams within the IT infrastructure department to ensure that the platform runs smoothly and meets the requirements of our organisation. Your tasks will include the following:

  • Design, implementation and optimisation of the Kubernetes container platform, ensuring its scalability, reliability and security
  • Provision of Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Automation of processes for the deployment, scaling and maintenance of containers
  • Monitoring of platform performance and implementation of measures to optimise and ensure compliance with security standards and guidelines
  • Collaboration with development teams on the provision of applications
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosis and resolution of problems in connection with the platform
  • Documentation of configurations, processes and implementations

What we need from you

For this position, we are looking for a communicative team player with an independent and structured way of working. You are resilient, flexible and enjoy working in a dynamic environment. You must also have the following:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information technology or a comparable qualification
  • Sound understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration (certifications in these areas would be an advantage)
  • Experience in the implementation and administration of container platforms, as well as knowledge of automation and configuration management (e.g. Ansible)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes, as well as experience of working with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose system issues, as well as security awareness and experience with security best practices
  • Good knowledge of Linux system administration
  • Very good knowledge of German and/or English
