Your role

As Network Security Engineer at Bank J. Safra Sarasin you are an experienced engineer willing to actively shape our networking landscape and be a valuable part of our infrastructure department. As group IT service provider we provide all network security related services out of Switzerland to our group entities across the globe, which offers you to work in a diverse and international environment. You will work for both areas "run the bank" and "change the bank" and provide continuous operative support to our infrastructure, based on state of the art solutions/technologies and work close together with leading providers in all network and security related areas. 

Your responsibilities

• Operate the global network environment (CISCO, firewalls, proxies, DNS, DDoS, NAC)
• Ensure stable operation including solving network related issues and keep the infrastructure up to date
• Support of projects with network solution designs in alignment with other infrastructure teams
• Implement solutions in context of projects in the network area as technical responsible and solution architect oriented
• Document network services including network design and operational manuals
• Support as member the on-call organization

Your profile

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or completed apprenticeship or similar education
• Passed IT network certifications (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, CCSA, CCSE, etc.)
• 5 years of practical experience in the field of the networking security area (routing, switching, filewall, proxy, DNS)
• Experience with ITIL methodologies as well as knowledge in Linux and shell scripting
• Experience with design and implementation of network infrastructure
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as ability to weight problems and set priorities
• Willingness to take responsibility and ability to work under pressure
• Fluency in English, fluency in German is a plus
• Willingness to travel (5-10%)
