Internship in Laser Scanning and BIM (f/m/d)

The Internship in Laser Scanning and BIM at Axpo Grid offers an exciting opportunity to engage with modern technologies in the energy industry. Scan2BIM involves the creation of 3D models from laser scans. These models serve as valuable foundations for efficient construction, whether in planning, renovation, construction progress monitoring, or documentation.

Was you will do:

• Capture external and interior surfaces of substations and powerlines using advanced laser technology.
  


• Classify measurement data into 3D point clouds based on object classes (geometric or AI-based)
  


• Support our BIM Modelling team on transforming this data into 3D Building Information models.

What you bring & who you are:

• Background in civil engineering, architecture, geodesy, or related disciplines.
  


• Coursing your last semester or have recently graduated from a masters.
  


• Interest in laser scanning tech. and Building Information Modelling.
  


• Familiarity with measurement technology. You know/have used (advantageous) what a GPS and a total station is.
  


• Knowledge of/Past use of a laser scanner technology is advantageous.
  


• Teamwork, initiative, and analytical thinking.
  


• You can communicate strongly either in English or German.
