360 Labs Initiative at a Glance

The 360 Labs are a new capability that is currently being built up within the Pharmaceutical Research and Early Development organization (pRED ). The primary mission of this effort is to provide greater access and support for the use of cutting-edge biomedical research technologies by scientists across our discovery portfolio.

The 360 Labs will deliver core scientific technologies, expertise and enabling activities, as well as facilitate knowledge sharing in close collaboration with our therapeutic areas and functions. Our ambition is to bring to life a thriving workplace environment, where your collaborative mindset is as valued as your professional expertise. Our goal is to act as an highly integrated ecosystem, supporting research and development, working collaboratively, and focused on fostering excellence and sustainability. Together, these efforts will serve to increase the speed, enhance the robustness and improve the sustainability of our exploratory research and early discovery activities.

Job Mission and Impact

Your mission will be to enable the 360 Labs team with business support to achieve its goals and lead some key cross-platform initiatives such as, but not limited to, evaluating current practices, conceptualizing new systems and processes and working collaboratively with key stakeholders from across the 360 Labs and the Roche environment to implement new solutions. A can-do attitude and a flexible, growth mindset are critical to success in this role. Your focus will be to generate an impact on the operational efficiency and productivity of the 360 Labs with a sense of urgency.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Creating project plans for key activities related to the seamless progression of the 360 Labs initiative, in close collaboration with various business stakeholders, together with proactively controlling project scope, risks and issues;

  • Effectively leading and managing project and team meetings, documenting actions and decisions and tracking the progress of deliverables against baseline schedule;

  • Improve process efficiency and boost business performance by using proven methodologies to identify and fix inefficiencies and streamline operational processes.

Your Profile

  • You have a BS or MS degree in Science, Engineering or Business with 5 to 10 years of business management or project management experience in a scientific research environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry, with optional project management certification such as PMP;

  • You have experience in managing both scientific- and IT- related projects in a research environment with a high-degree of digital savviness, with exceptional skills in business- and data analytics;

  • You have a customer and team-centric mindset focused on delivering high-quality results with a sense of urgency and have demonstrated effectiveness in building collaborative relationships and leading in a matrix environment without authority.

In addition to your scientific expertise and critical technical skills, we are looking for candidates who are:

  • Curious with a growth mindset, resourceful and flexible in problem-solving, have excellent organizational skills, and can think outside the box and have a demonstrated ability to implement new ideas in a fast-paced research environment;

  • Excellent communicators with a high fluency in English, a desire to continuously build a personal network and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, inclusive environment that gives you full accountability for your own contributions and development.
