Material Specialist Parts Repair Services



The Material Specialist Parts Repair Services is responsible for the material management of 3rd Party Parts repair business, in alignment with requirements from the PPR account management team. The Material specialist is also the responsible liaison between Account management, Logistics Station 740 and customer for all clarification issues related to incoming & outgoing logistics.
 
The Material Specialist is responsible for handling of Commercial related tasks in logistics and ensures the smooth flow of material incoming & outgoing in alignment with Logistics and Account management teams.
 
The Material Specialist is responsible to facilitate timely processing of incoming and outgoing backlog by providing solutions for material on hold or in clarification. The Material Specialist develops and improves the processes for his/her work in line with the business requirements.
 
He/She is responsible for monitoring of KPI’s, improving backlog issues and providing timely and proactive solutions. He/She is proactive and self-motivated individual with a solution-oriented approach handling/escalating matters and overseeing key performance measures of the assigned processes.

Your tasks






  • Obtaining documentation from the customer for successful induction of parts

  • Outgoing shipments management: Shipper`s declaration creation, Non-stock delivery sheet creation, etc.

  • Preparation of cost estimate for low value parts

  • Customer contact for material clarification topics (RO change, PN confirmation etc.,)

  • Proactively Follow up with customer & execute on Scrap material decision / Return AS IS.

  • Assist with centralized workload planning & forecasting for PPR

  • Assist with all 3rd PPR material movement requests from Account management, from the Shop to Logistics Station 740, dispatch, or customer owned material stock as necessary.

  • Build strong relationship with all key stakeholders (Account Management, Logistics, Operations)

  • Reply to customer requests and queries in a timely and customer centric manner.



Your profile






  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, ability to work with a solution-based approach.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and/or business administration degree with strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management aspects.

  • Excellent knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office suite.

  • Basic knowledge of engine parts repair/overhaul & commercial processes in Engine Parts Services.

  • Core competencies in Material Management, Logistics, Supply Chain/Procurement or Customer Support / Sales Roles.

  • Significant (3 + years) experience in Material Management, Logistics related role in the MRO Aviation Industry if possible

  • Able to work under pressure, flexible, creative thinking and innovative. Self-motivated & proactive

  • Fluent in English, German is a plus.
