As a Motor Underwriter (9 month contract with a view to go permanent), you will be responsible for analysing and underwriting new and renewal business, regularly interacting and facing the market, under limited supervision, utilizing The Zurich Way of Underwriting Framework within delegated authority levels on assignments of moderate technical complexity ensuring a high level service to customers.

Additional key responsibilities include:

• Working with the state based commercial team to ensure the ZUC delivers for all our stakeholder groups.
• Renewal Servicing & underwriting – successful delivery and desired retention of the commercial renewal portfolio.
• Co-ordinate whole of account activity for renewals and support the development of further opportunities from the renewal portfolio.
• Building relationships with the key brokers and customers in the state – jointly with the state based State Commercial Lead and Deal Manager.

Important to your success - let's grow together

• Multiple years experience working in a market facing underwriting, broking or distribution role
• Solid understanding of the motor product & market.
• Highly developed insurance knowledge of commercial underwriting business, relevant Legislation and Regulations governing General Insurance
• Proven track record of building relationships and strong negotiation skills both internally and externally.
• Excellent communicator to all audiences
• Ability to drive results.
