What to expect

  • You will be responsible for a team of around ten data architects, data analysts, data governance analysts and a team of around seven external developers
  • In this role, you are responsible for the holistic data strategy to support our business goals
  • You will develop and be responsible for the implementation of the future data architecture in close coordination with the Generali Group
  • You are responsible for all relevant data governance and compliance activities such as the adaptation and implementation of Group policies and guidelines, reviews and reports to stakeholders
  • You coordinate the coordination and communication with the relevant functions in the Group Head Office
  • You develop and take responsibility for the BI strategy, including direct responsibility for various applications (e.g. Tableau) and various data platforms
  • You take on a central role in various major projects in the areas of data compliance, data governance, data architecture and data management, always keeping an eye on customer and company needs

The skills you'll bring

  • University degree or equivalent education in computer science, business informatics, data science or a comparable degree
  • At least 5 years of management experience in data architecture, data governance, data analytics and business intelligence
  • Experience with complex (international) corporate structures and (international) projects, ideally in the financial services / insurance sector
  • Excellent knowledge of analyzing and further developing data models and database technologies
  • Enjoy working with internal and external stakeholders and experience in communicating with top management
  • Ability to network and act in an entrepreneurial, service and customer-oriented manner
  • Analytical skills that enable you to recognize problems at an early stage and design solutions
  • Fluency in German and English, French and Italian an advantage
