Description and Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis:

  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports.
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

Data Modeling:

  • Design, implement, and document data architecture and data modeling solutions, including relational, dimensional, and NoSQL databases.
  • Implement business and IT data requirements through new data strategies and designs across all data platforms.
  • Define and govern data modeling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development for enterprise data models.
  • Identify the architecture, infrastructure, and interfaces to data sources, tools supporting automated data loads, security concerns, analytic models, and data visualization.
  • Hands-on modeling, design, configuration, installation, performance tuning, and sandbox proof of concept (POC).

End-to-End Channel Business Analyst

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Collect and analyze sales data from various indirect channels (distributors, resellers, agents, etc.).
  • Identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create regular reports and dashboards to track channel performance.

Sales Process Optimization:

  • Evaluate end-to-end sales processes within indirect channels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
  • Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions for smoother operations.

Forecasting and Planning:

  • Develop accurate sales forecasts based on historical data and market trends.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align strategies.
  • Assist in creating sales targets and quotas for channel partners.

Channel Performance Metrics:

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for indirect sales channels.
  • Monitor KPIs regularly and provide insights to drive improvements.
  • Assess partner performance against targets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics is preferred.
  • Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages, databases, programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks).
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.).
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, etc.).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
