Brand Manager Winston+ Global Travel Retail

What this role is about?

The incumbent will work closely with the Group Brand Manager; he / she is an active member of the GTR Brand Marketing Team, responsible for the development, follow-up, and coordination of all the activation programs and communication campaigns for the assigned Brands & Regions. The scope is global i.e. reaching all the markets with GTR presence (over 100 countries) and where a given brand is distributed.

He / She will be the key Marketing contact within GTR for the assigned brands.

He / She will be responsible to develop, for the assigned brands, comprehensive palette of Equity building programs, which include scoping, planning and development of activities, as well as overseeing that the execution within GTR Regions are done as per JTI expectations and standards (executional excellence). The scope of projects includes: Limited Editions Packaging developments with 360 activation campaigns, special packaging developments, new launches communication, new campaigns.

The incumbent will work closely with members of the GTR M&S functions (central & Regions), in order to ensure smooth and timely implementation of projects, ensuring that deadlines are met and budget respected.

He/She will be in regular contact with JTI Global Brand Groups to develop, adapt, share and align the plans and activities. The incumbent will also be responsible for managing the external creative agencies/designers.

In addition, the incumbent will be responsible (with close cooperation and under the supervision of the Consumer & Trade Marketing Group Manager) for developing the activation strategy, incorporating key initiatives such as in-store activation as well as smoking lounge activation.

What will you do?

  • For the assigned brands, to develop exclusive Global GTR Limited Edition packaging, and other specific packaging where relevant, building on the Brand Group concepts, and ensuring that each concept is bringing novelty and excitement within GTR. It includes pack and carton design developments, from design to artworks, working closely with R&D and liaising with portfolio and GBS for PLM management. It requires to liaise with the markets and agree on the launch plans.
  • In close collaboration with the Regional marketing teams and IKAM teams, to create or adapt the activation concepts for the Limited Edition packs / specific SKUs, by finding innovative and exciting ways to engage with consumers and bring the concepts to life, building on latest retail and consumers trends. The scope includes development of all the POSM designs, as well as technical drawings and prototype production. For each promotion, release a full GTR toolkit covering the total project scope.

Each promotion has to be managed in a cost-efficient way and with focus on quality.

  • For the assigned brands, upon each HQ new brand world release, develop all new GTR communication materials, and develop the relevant GTR rejuvenation toolkit.

In addition, work closely with the Merchandising Manager in order to develop new designs for the GTR merchandising units, providing options for all GTR markets (branded and unbranded)

  • Brand custodian role for the assigned brands, ensuring the respect of the guidelines in all GTR markets and smoking lounges. This includes periodic check on execution in the market and coaching role on improvements to meet agreed brand standards.
  • Accept to conduct and complete other projects and activities not listed above, after being defined and agreed with line manager, in accordance with his/hers skills, technical knowledge and level of development.

What are we looking for?

  • University Degree (Marketing, Business preferably) and / or MBA
  • 3 - 5 years commercial and/or brand marketing experience in an International FMCG Environment. Market experience preferable. Experience in Brand Activation is preferable.
  • English mandatory - other languages an advantage.
  • Computer Literate (excellent knowledge of Excel, Power Point).
