VIE - Production Engineer - H/F

Why do we need you ?

Within the Isover glass wool plant in Lucens, the position requires an aptitude for the industrial environment in a dynamic team. The challenges are many and diverse, ranging from day-to-day monitoring of production, carrying out loss analyses, product optimization and energy consumption, projects to improve the organization of the workspace, etc. All of that in close collaboration with various departments.

  Main responsibilities:

  • Launching and managing continuous improvement activities as part of Saint Gobain's world class manufacturing (WCM) program,
  • Playing an active role in reducing safety risks in the plant,
  • Creating and testing new process parameters for the new line,
  • Leading the updating and creation of new MKT2i-Boost training courses on site,
  • Managing and leading a Quality and Process Control project,
  • Leading transversal projects to improve efficiency of the line.

This is a 12-month mission, extendable once for 6 more months if necessary.

Is this job for you ?

  • Master’s degree in General Engineering or with the following specialties: Process Management, Instrumentation, Material, Fluidic Mechanic,
  • Strong appetence for field work and manufacturing environment,
  • Critical thinking, analysis, and syntheses skills,
  • Team player and management skills,
  • Rigor & autonomy
  • Adaptability and flexibility, while gradually moving towards the digitalization & Factory 4.0.

A little more about us

Saint-Gobain ISOVER SA is Switzerland’s first manufacturer of insulation materials made from glass wool. With its headquarters and production site in Lucens in the canton of Vaud, the company has a workforce of around 170. The firm has been working on and supporting the further development of insulation materials since its foundation in 1937, and in the process, it places a considerable focus on sustainability. ISOVER products are often key elements of energy renovations or new builds and consist of about 80% recycled glass.
