International Management Trainee

How you can make an impact


As an International Management Trainee at Stadler Rail Service, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with senior management and gain an understanding of the company's operations and strategic objectives.
  • Participating in training programs and on-the-job learning experiences to develop your skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborating with colleagues from different departments and locations to achieve business goals.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of new strategies and initiatives.
  • Creating presentations and reports to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Leading and managing cross-functional projects to ensure successful delivery.
  • Coordinating with maintenance locations and project teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services.
  • Supporting the preparation of proposals and bids for new projects.
  • Traveling to different locations to gain exposure to different markets and cultures, and to support project delivery.

As an International Management Trainee, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects and initiatives, and to learn from experienced professionals in the field. You will be expected to take ownership of your work, and to be proactive in seeking out new opportunities to contribute to the company's success.


How you will contribute


  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology or Business Administration
  • Quick comprehension and high willingness to learn and to go the extra mile
  • A large amount of commitment and high self-initiative
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Willingness to relocate and work in different locations around the world
  • Excellent communication skills in English, German, Dutch or Norwegian is a plus
  • Passionate about what we do: Driving public transportation and supporting to find sustainable better solutions for the future

It is important to note that the International Management Trainee position requires a significant amount of travel, often together with senior management. This means that you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to different markets and cultures, but it also means that you will have long days and may experience some jet lag. However, we believe that the rewards of this job, including the hands-on experience, networking opportunities, and career growth potential, far outweigh the challenges. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about international business and who are willing to put in the hard work and dedication required to succeed in this role.
