The Vascular and Tumor Biology  group of Tatiana Petrova at the Department of Oncology of the University of Lausanne invites applications for the position of the technician


Job information

Expected start date in position :  01.08.2024 or  to be discussed


Contract length : 1 year, renewable


Employment rate : 100 %


Workplace : Epalinges


Your responsibilities


  • You will be responsible for the tasks related to the general maintenance of the laboratory (60%)

  • You  will work together with the researchers of the group in the projects characterizing  vasculature  in different experimental  in vitro and in vivo models (40%)


Your qualifications


  • Diploma of  the laboratory technician or the equivalent

  • Excellent organisation and communication skills

  • Team player

  • Expertise in isolation and culture (2D and 3D)  of primary and tumor cells

  • Expertise in standard cellular and molecular biology techniques (transfection and transduction of primary cells, histology, immunostaining, isolation of RNA and DNA, PCR, cloning, western blotting,  production of lentiviruses)

  • Good knowledge of English, knowledge of German is a plus
