Then we have the perfect role for you. For our M&S department, we are looking for an analytical full-time Market and Strategy Intelligence Manager.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Market and Strategy Intelligence Manager, you will be responsible for collecting and distributing management information based on market, brand, and consumer data. You will conduct business analysis, including market/category analysis, forecasting, and detailed brand analyses. You will lead market modeling and forecasting for LEs (Latest Estimate) and OLs (Outlook) and report on KPIs. You will collect and analyze competitive intelligence and manage marketing research to meet business needs. You will generate insights and strategic recommendations to grow the business. You will oversee functional processes within Strategic Insights, assist in the Annual Strategic Plan (A&SP) and Commercial Review presentations, and provide data for reporting. You will be part of a Benelux team, with potential travel across the cluster.

WHAT WILL YOU DO- RESPONSIBILITIES

Management Information:

  • You will collect and distribute management information based on market, brand, and consumer data within the organization. Additionally, you will perform business analysis, including market/category analysis and forecasting, as well as detailed brand and brand style analyses. Key information sources include retail audit data, wholesale data, industry data, JTI Tracker, JTI ex-factory data, and ad-hoc research.

Insights and Opportunities:

  • You will generate hypotheses/insights and highlight key issues and opportunities with the aim of further growing the business. Furthermore, you will connect and translate insights into strategic recommendations. You will collect and analyze competitive intelligence information (competitor activities, development of competitive brand styles, etc.). You will report on important competitive developments and maintain a database on competitive activities as seen in the market/on-shelf.

Strategic Support:

  • You will assist in the development of A&SP/Commercial Review presentations and provide data delivery for presentation and reporting purposes. You will liaise regularly with other functions within Marketing & Sales, the global Strategic Insights Department in Geneva, and the Finance department. You will have ownership of all functional processes within Strategic Insights.

Marketing Research:

  • You will set up and manage marketing research (quantitative and qualitative) based on identified business needs, including reporting and advising the organization about the outcomes of this research. This includes day-to-day agency management and liaising with the JTI Strategic Insights department in Geneva on the methodology and type of research used.

Forecasting & Reporting:

  • You will be responsible for market modeling, forecasting, and reporting for LEs and OLs on an ongoing basis. This includes phasing of market volumes and SOM across categories, in cooperation and alignment with Sales and Supply Chain. You will respond to requests from FP&A and align/check final output reporting. You will actively contribute in APO meetings and proactively share information to improve our forecasting.

YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE:

  • University degree (Master)
  • Marketing & Sales Background, preferably in an FMCG environment
  • Strong financial and market research affinity and knowledge
  • Fluency in English, Dutch and /or French is a plus
  • Excellent PC skills (MS Office)
  • Have an analytical mind with genuine business curiosity
  • Have the relevant experience
  • Have a helicopter view of business
  • Are ambitious and proactive
