The LSMS division primarily designs, manufactures and distributes life science mass spectrometry ("MS"), instruments that can be integrated and used along with sample preparation or chromatography instruments to design an analytical workflow and mass spectrometry-based solutions including informatics software. Bruker Life Science MS products are used in research, pharmaceutical and biotechnology development.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Head of Finance and Controlling LSMS Switzerland, 100%
The Head of Finance and Controlling will be working for the Bruker LSMS group and will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring the financial health of the organization, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. This role involves managing the finance team of LSMS Switzerland, developing financial strategies, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. One key focus will be Supply Chain Controlling. The finance teams of Biognosys and Bruker will work closely together on joint processes and systems.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage the finance and controlling team of LSMS Switzerland in several locations in Switzerland with a clear focus on Supply Chain Controlling
- Closely collaborate with other executives to develop and implement the company's overall business strategy and ensure financial sustainability
- Analyze and evaluate financial performance, identifying opportunities for growth, optimization, and risk mitigation
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting as well as accounting, controlling, financial reporting, tax, audit, and compliance
- Ensure that financial policies and procedures are in place and adhered to, promoting transparency and accountability
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies
- Support M&A (incl. PMI) and business development initiatives with financial insights and analysis
- Drive and support Finance projects within the Bruker Corporation
YOUR PROFILE
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- Proven experience in a senior financial management role, incl. Supply Chain Controlling
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, incl. S/4HANA and SAC
- Good understanding of US and Swiss GAAP
- Strategic thinking and planning
- Hands-on mentality
- Leadership and team management skills
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Business-fluent in English and German, both written and spoken
