About the role
The Senior Director Solutions Management is accountable for the strategic, commercial, and financial leadership of the core product group consisting of 3-5 product lines. This role holds full ownership of the product group global positioning, pricing, and lifecycle management (LCM) and ensures that products remain a market-leading solution across diverse customer segments and commercial channels.
The role is based in Staefa, Switzerland.
Key responsibilities
Business Responsibility
- Global P&L responsibility for Product Group consisting of 3-5 Product Lines.
- Cradle grave responsibility from Product idea to Product Launches, In Market Performance Management and Phase Out.
- 4P responsibility for Solutions withing Product Group.
- Drive development and execution of commercial strategy and action plans for the portfolio.
- Develop Product Strategy and Strategic Marketing Plan for Product Group in line with overall Phonak Strategy.
- Product launch ownership in close collaboration with GCs.
- Non-product campaign initiation, coordination and execution in close collaboration with GCs.
- Lifecycle management and in-market performance management including repositioning, push campaigns, product improvements and phase outs.
Process Ownership
- Design and implement global policies, e.g., SOPs and WIs to ensure process adherence and sustain global standardization.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead a cross-functional team of PM/Solution Managers, Marketing Managers and Product Audiologists Lead by providing vision, motivation, support and coaching to drive the business and achieve our commercial objectives.
- Establish effective working relationships with key opinion leaders and other key stakeholders.
- Be instrumental during the transformation to becoming a marketing-led organization and global P&L responsibility for the Product Group.
- Foster an inclusive and collaborative culture that creates a high level of engagement within the team and with the many important interfaces across many departments in HQ as well as with the local Group Companies.
- Develop and lead a highly performing team and help employees to fulfill their potential within or outside of the immediate team.
- Create an inclusive environment in which every member of the team has an opportunity to succeed and create the necessary actions if there is a performance issue.
Strategy beyond Product Group
- As part of the Phonak Leadership Team.
- Provide key input to the strategic direction for Phonak.
- Execute initiatives to implement the Phonak Strategy.
- Propose and agree on an overall product roadmap and marketing plan for Phonak.
Financial Management
- OPEX responsibility for Product Group and based on allocated budget and marketing plan, determine resource allocation to campaigns and product launches within the Product Group.
- Work closely with GC Marketing teams to identify and prioritize improvement levers for business line performance (either through in-market marketing or new product development).
What Qualifications Are We Looking For
Education
- University degree in Business Administration and/or Engineering.
Experience
- Experience in B2B-, B2B2C Marketing or Business Management.
- Track record of people leadership and people development capabilities.
- Track record in Business Management for a Product Group / Business Segment with global P&L responsibility.
- Demonstrated a broad range of marketing capabilities, including product definition, positioning, development and in-market management.
- Understanding of the hearing device or adjacent markets like Medical Device Manufacturer will be an advantage.
- A broad range of experience in marketing, sales and R&D in technical and innovation driven companies will be additional advantage.
Languages
- Fluent English (required), German (a plus).
