We are looking for an ALPS Market Supply Chain Specialist who is analytical, collaborative, and solution‑oriented to join our Market Supply Chain Operations team, based at our UCB campus located in Bulle, Fribourg, Switzerland.
About the role:
You will ensure supply continuity for the Swiss and Austrian markets by managing forecasts, inventories, and replenishment activities. You will collaborate closely with internal and external partners— commercial teams, quality teams, 3PLs, wholesalers, and planning— in order to secure compliant, reliable supply. You will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence and ensuring full adherence to GDP/GMP standards.
Who you will work with:
You will work with a diverse network across Supply Chain Operations, including Quality, Sales, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, IT, and regional/global planning teams.
Externally, you will collaborate with local partners such as 3PLs, carriers, wholesalers, and other supply chain vendors to ensure seamless execution and continuous improvement.
What you will do:
- You will drive demand management by developing accurate forecasts and aligning stakeholders through SI&OP routines.
- You will be responsible for managing local inventory levels to prevent stockouts and avoid excess or obsolete stock.
- You will manage supply chain activities linked to product launches, tenders, recalls, phase‑in/phase‑out, and import/export processes.
- You will oversee local vendor performance, ensuring compliance, service quality, and cost‑efficient operations.
- You will monitor KPIs, analyze risks, and identify improvement opportunities to enhance quality, cost, and service.
- You will ensure full adherence to GDP/GMP standards, maintain SOPs, and support Quality in audits, deviations, and compliance activities.
Interested? For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, ideally in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field with strong knowledge of finance.
- First experience in supply chain / , preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Fluency in English, French and German (C1 level minimum), Italian is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and build strong cross‑functional relationships.
- Comfortable operating in a multicultural, matrix environment with strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
