Job Description
Purposes of the position
In this role, you will be a key member of our development project teams. As global analytical champion for a selection of established and new active substances you will work alongside a team of lab technicians to perform a wide range of analytical tasks.

Your main tasks
- Intensive interaction with development teams, particularly chemical process development and formulation development
- Close collaboration with other technical functions, as well as regulatory, supply chain and marketing in interdisciplinary and international projects
- Active contribution to cross-site and cross-plant projects by provision of data for worldwide registration of crop protection active substances and products
- Crucial quality assessments for selecting external manufacturers
- Independent planning, execution and interpretation of demanding laboratory work and experimental data using your scientific expertise
- Independent problem solving and overcoming challenges through analytical thinking and proactive action
- Expert guidance, advice and training of laboratory staff in various analytical techniques and methodological approaches
- Ensuring and proactively supporting compliance with health, safety and environmental policies and potentially taking on the role of GLP Study Director
Qualifications
- BSc, MSc, or PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Science or related field (background in organic chemistry is advantageous)
- In-depth technical knowledge in modern analytical methods (e.g. GC, HPLC, MS, NMR, IR), pleasure in selecting the appropriate analytical methodology and good experiences in analytical method development
- Ability to independently plan, organize and carry out laboratory work as well as independent problem-solving skills under changing requirements and tight deadlines (Project management experience is advantageous)
- You are fluent in English and German (or strong willingness to learn German)
- Strong ability to work in a team and strong communication skills, as well as a flexible approach to your work
- Post-qualification experience, esp. working in a GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) regulated environment, would be beneficial
