As a global leader, indie's photonics team specializes in developing advanced optical systems and components that drive progress across various industries—from material processing, quantum technologies, LiDAR, navigation, sensing, and imaging, to augmented reality and medical applications.
At indie Technologies Switzerland (former Exalos, part of the indie Semiconductor group) we focus on the design, development, manufacturing and sales of advanced light source solutions based on Superluminescent Light Emitting Diodes (SLEDs) and Laser Diodes (LDs).
indie Technologies Switzerland AG is seeking an experienced and driven European Sales Manager to accelerate our growth across key European markets. In this strategic role, you will play a central part in expanding our business with both existing and new customers, driving revenue and bookings, and strengthening our market position in advanced automotive and mobility solutions.
Your areas of activities will be to manage complex Design-In programs with major key accounts, you will increase market share in our target markets, manage regional representatives and distributors, support proposals for new product investments, and provide primary technical support to customers in close collaboration with internal teams.

Your Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop existing and prospective customer relationships within the assigned sales territory
- Drive long‑term, sustainable company growth through strategic sales activities
- Generate new business and sales revenue in line with commercial objectives
- Maintain regular, direct relationships with key customer management and decision‑makers
- Identify, contact, and evaluate new potential customers and business opportunities
- Analyze and assess opportunities in new and emerging markets
- Accurately record weekly sales activities and customer interactions in Salesforce
- Support the development of periodic sales forecasts, providing reliable data and insights
Your Background:
- 10–15 years of experience selling light source technologies into one or more of the following markets: Medical, Navigation, Sensing, Avionics, or Scientific Test & Measurement; technical degree required (e.g., engineering, physics, optics)
- Role will be based in Zurich, Switzerland with regular travel
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to achieve win‑win outcomes and close deals effectively
- Solid market knowledge, including awareness of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs
- In‑depth customer knowledge, enabling tailored solutions and long‑term relationship building
- Proven experience in customer account management, including development, retention, and strategic growth of key accounts
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple accounts simultaneously
- Highly self‑motivated and results‑driven, with the ability to work independently and proactively in a target‑oriented environment
