Who we are looking for:
The Business Development team within State Street Markets is a global team that drives strategic growth by identifying new opportunities, deepening client relationships, and collaborating across business units to deliver innovative solutions. Our mission is to position Markets as a trusted partner through thought leadership, data-driven insights, and tailored engagement strategies that help clients achieve their investment objectives. As such, we are looking to bring in the next generation of talent to learn and contribute ideas to enhance their development and expand our remit to support the rapidly growing Markets business in Continental Europe.
In Europe, we are expanding the reach of cross-sell and strategic initiative efforts and are looking for a Zurich-based working student to assist the Head of Business Development for Continental Europe, also based in Zurich, for a duration of 12-24 months.

What you will be responsible for:
Role specifics
- Providing day to day support to the Head of Business Development, working on tasks as required
- Assisting with cross-sell efforts, managing, validating, vetting pipelines
- Coordinating and assisting with ad hoc projects such as strategic analyses and client events
- Working with large datasets, and/or PPT presentations
- Interacting with the sales teams and management locally and globally
- Interacting with corporate/support teams such as the Marketing and other administrative functions
- Interacting with management locally and globally
- The role will entail some project management and coordination across multiple teams within Markets but also within the administrative arm of State Street

Education & Preferred Qualifications:
- You are studying economics, finance, or a related field
- You can work 8-16 or more hours per week during your semesters
- You have strong interests in capital markets and ideally first experiences from internships
- You are proficient in written and spoken English, other European languages are a plus
