Aufgaben

System Engineer Gear & Drive Systems
As part of Leonardo, Kopter currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs.
Kopter is set to become Leonardo’s Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies, contributing to the development of hybrid and electrical propulsion systems. Kopter’s 320 talented team members are primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).
Your responsibilities
- Creation of compliance demonstration documentation, support the type certification of CS27 rotorcraft
- To maintain the legal aviation & safety requirements in accordance with the applicable regulatory framework (EASA Part-21,J and CS27)
- Collaborate with other team members on technical level (S+F, reliability & maintainability, testing, analysis, …) to achieve a mature design of the system they are responsible
- Assure system and product quality by: review and check of fabrication methods, review and check of assembly methods and installation processes to achieve a well-established manufacturing and assembly processes
- Review and check part and assembly drawings for the production and assembly of the part or system to achieve a clearly defined design according Kopter procedure and applicable standards
- Ensure that the work is conducted by using appropriate aerospace analysis methodologies and in accordance with the applicable regulatory frameworks (EASA Part-21,J and CS27) and applicable business standards
- Use computer-aided design 3D- CAD – software to create and check the project design to achieve a 3D defined model of the system
- Create and check technical specifications to achieve well defined process and product information
- Support certification test activity, namely experimental, environmental, operational and stress tests on models and prototypes of aircraft and aerospace systems and equipment
- Support the assembly and fitting of aircraft and components to achieve an understanding for the assembling process and improve the design and instructions of the system
Your qualification & experience
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar related engineering degree
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in design of aerospace transmission system
- Experience in certification of aerospace systems
- Experience in aerospace system testing
- Minimum 3 years of CAD knowledge concerning handling and data structure, Siemens NX an asset
- Teamcenter knowledge an asset
- At least 2 years of experience with understanding and creating manufacturing and assembly drawings
- English minimum B2 level (verbal & written)
