The International Olympic Committee is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement.
A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including the athletes, the National Olympic Committees, the International Federations, Organising Committees for the Olympic Games, the Worldwide Olympic Partners and Olympic broadcast partners. It also collaborates with public and private authorities including the United Nations and other international organisations.
About the role:
As the Internal Communications Trainee you will be supporting the implementation of internal communications plans with a focus on HR topics.
Your responsibilities:
- Coordinate and plan the HR communications editorial calendar in line with the organisation’s editorial calendar
- Support the coordination and production of internal communications for IOC employees with a strong focus on HR communication (HR operations, inclusion & diversity, performance management, health at work, learning & development, etc.):
- Content: write and edit articles or other types of documents (FAQ, information notes, etc.), liaise with languages services for the translation and proofreading, coordinate internal videos or photos production with the Images services. Draft and design emails to IOC employees about HR topics in a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM).
- Events (breakfast & learn sessions, webinars, etc.): send invitations, liaise with the Events Teams regarding the logistics, support content production.
- Internal campaigns: contribute to their development and implementation across all channels.
- Monitor the impact of the communications
- Document the achieved results (number of views, unique viewers for articles, number of participants for events, qualitative feedback, etc.).
- Analyse the achieved results and share recommendation for future actions.
- Participate actively in the weekly meetings of the internal communications working group and the human resources teams
- Support other internal communications projects when required.
- Liaise with other departments to stay updated on new internal initiatives, product & service developments, and to ensure brand consistency
Our requirements
- University bachelor or master degree (communications or journalism)
- English or French fluency, with excellent writing and speaking of the other language.
- Excellent command of the corporate tools and ability to follow the internal user rules (Outlook, etc.).
- Excellent command of SharePoint, CRM or design tools is an asset
- Strong interest in people management and HR activities
- Keen sense of priorities to ensure efficient management of projects and deliverables, ability to multitask, assiduity in following up files
- Ability to look for information, to summarise it and simplify complex processes in simple communications
- Familiarity with teamwork, in terms of both managing the flow of files and communicating with colleagues
- Sense of initiative and ability to work remotely and autonomously as needed
- Keen sense of confidentiality
- Creativity in finding new ways of communicating
