Sustaining Engineer Valves (m/f/d) 80-100%
The "Sustaining Engineer Valves" is responsible for the continuous improvement regarding reliability, functionality and cost of existing products in the portfolio "valves". This includes the analysis of quality issues, the collaboration with suppliers and production and the involvement in customer claims. Additionally, he/she is part of project teams for the development of new products.
Job description:
- Design updates & engineering changes
- Root cause analysis of quality issues
- Analysis of the cost structure and the cost optimization of products
- Collaboration in project teams for development, conception, design and dimensioning of new and innovative products in the range of components for heating and sanitary technology
- Technical analysis of product concepts and products from competitors
- Support of the head of product development vales in the further development of the team and processes
- Definition product testing and support of technical lab in the realization of tests
- Support of other departments in technical aspects of products (e.g. documentation, functionality, product data)
- Consistently drives tasks forward, removes roadblocks, and pushes initiatives to timely closure
- Collaborates with high agility and flexibility with production, technical customer service, quality department and within project teams
- Achieves durable, high-quality resolutions to technical issues
- Complies with standard processes and delivers product documentations with consistency and reliability
Required profile:
- Master or Bachelor degree as mechanical engineer or similar
- > 3 years of experience as developer of mechanical components
- Deep knowledge in production processes for metal and plastic parts
- Good experience with 3D CAD systems (preferably SolidWorks)
- Fluent in German and English
- Good collaboration in teams
- Experience with tools like FMEA (risk analysis), specification sheets, Microsoft software
