As an Intern Development Apparel 3D at Mammut, you will support the development pattern team in bringing innovative and high-quality products to life for Mammut’s diverse consumer base. This internship offers hands-on experience in the apparel development process, providing exposure to the critical steps involved in turning design concepts into technical products ready for production.

You will gain insight into the workflows of one of Mammut’s key business areas, working alongside experienced developers to learn about timelines, cost management, material selection, virtual Fittings and vendor communication. The ideal start date is July 1st, 2025 or by agreement.

Your responsibilities

• Assist in preparing technical sketches, prototypes, and pre-production sample
• Support in tracking product development schedules and updating relevant documentation
• Participate in fit sessions and sample reviews with cross-functional teams
• Learn to apply Mammut's development and processing standards
• Assist in reviewing and organizing strike-offs, mock-ups, and graphic submissions
• Create digital 3D models of garments using software like Browzwear
• Conduct fit analyses and adjustments on 3D models to ensure the clothing meets desired specifications
• Use avatars and digital twins to account for various body shapes and sizes
• Collaborate with designers, technicians, and other team members to receive feedback and optimize design decisions in 3D
• Attend workshops and training sessions to enhance skills in using 3D software and technologies
• Regularly update the 3D library with new trims and fabrics for upcoming seasons

Your profile

• In training or already completed studies in textile or clothing technology
• Strong interest in product development, technical apparel, and outdoor gear
• Basic understanding of garment construction and product lifecycle
• Detail-oriented personality with a hands-on, proactive attitude
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Fluent in English, any other language is a plus
• Strong knowledge in MS Office, experience with PLM, Browzwear_V-sticher/ CLO3D, Assyst & Adobe Illustrator is a plus
• Passionate about the mountains and outdoor sports in general
