Senior Associate Fund Operations (m/f/d)
Mercer Alternatives operates as an investment firm providing advisory services as well as customized and pooled investment solutions across various asset classes including private equity, debt, infrastructure, real estate, and hedge funds.
We are seeking an experienced professional for our Zurich office as a Senior Associate Fund Operations. In addition to your core operational responsibilities, you will act as the deputy to the Head of Fund Operations for the Zurich office team when needed. You are a true team player and a “get-things-done” person who drives tasks forward reliably.

Your main responsibilities:
- Take ownership and accountability for the smooth closing processes of Fund of Funds, ensuring all operational milestones are met
- Oversee the accuracy and maintenance of investor data, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements
- Be responsible for the correct calculation and validation of fees in accordance with Fund prospectuses
- Manage and supervise the execution of capital calls and distributions at the Fund level, including oversight of cash account management
- Ensure the timely preparation and review of data for quarterly financial statements of the Funds, maintaining high quality standards
- Lead and coordinate the audit process for Funds under your responsibility, liaising with auditors and internal stakeholders
- Oversee responses to ad hoc investor inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate communication
- Manage and oversee responses to regulatory AIFM requests, ensuring all requirements are met
- Provide leadership and management to the Fund Operations team in Zurich, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
- Act as deputy to the Head of Fund Operations for the Zurich office when required, supporting leadership and decision-making
What you need to have:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in private markets or related fields
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to collaborate effectively across teams and with stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; German is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office
- Experience in operations, accounting, asset management, or fund administration
- Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently
- Strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and reliability in delivering high-quality client outputs on time
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability
