Your responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented graduate to join our Real Estate team. This role offers valuable exposure to institutional real estate investing, including both direct real estate holdings and selected real estate funds across Europe.
You will play a key role in supporting the operational and analytical management of our real estate portfolio. Operational responsibilities include participating in regular calls with external property managers, assisting in the coordination of asset-level activities, and ensuring timely information flows.
On the analytical side, the role involves reviewing property and fund performance data, supporting financial analysis, and contributing to internal reporting and decision-making processes.
The position requires strong financial and analytical skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to working with spreadsheets and data.
In this position, you will:
- Collaborate closely with a senior member of the team and must be comfortable working in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
- Participate in regular calls with external property managers to track asset performance and operational matters.
- Support the monitoring and analysis of financial and operational metrics across the real estate portfolio.
- Contribute to financial modelling, budget reviews, variance analysis, and internal reporting.
- Assist in the oversight of selected real estate funds, including performance tracking and data review.
- Prepare documentation and presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with senior team members and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.
Your profile
Skills
- Strong financial and analytical skills; advanced Excel skills are essential.
- High attention to detail and ability to work with structured datasets with precision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact professionally with external stakeholders.
- Organised and reliable under time constraints; capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Team-oriented, adaptable, and proactive in problem-solving.
- Ideally, some experience in private markets analysis.
- Fluent in English and French.
- Spoken and written both English and French.
Eligibility criteria:
- You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State .
- By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Finance, Economics, Real Estate or a related field (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
- Applicants without University degree are not eligible.
- Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.
Additional Information
Job closing date: 26.05.2025 at 23:59h (midnight) CEST.
Contract duration: 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.
Working hours: 40 hours per week
