Based in the Canton of Neuchâtel, Micro-Cameras & Space Exploration S.A. has been a trusted solutions provider in the field of instrumentation for space applications for over 20 years. Specializing in imaging systems, we have developed numerous space instruments in collaboration with international organizations such as ESA, NASA, CNES, and major space actors like Airbus Defense and Space, Thales Alenia Space and OHB. Our contributions have supported missions to the Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, a comet nucleus (Rosetta), the International Space Station, and Earth observation. We are now looking for a talented and motivated Project Manager to join our team and help us continue pushing the boundaries of space exploration.
Responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you will:
- Lead end‑to‑end space projects (both traditional and NewSpace) from concept through delivery, ensuring all technical, schedule, and budget targets are achieved.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, bringing together engineers, scientists, external partners, and suppliers to drive seamless collaboration.
- Oversee technical development streams - electronics, optics, mechanics, firmware, and software - monitoring progress and guaranteeing alignment with the PA/QA plan.
- Manage configuration and documentation, maintaining accurate records and change control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Plan and lead functional and environmental test campaigns, tracking results and ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive status reports and documentation for internal leadership, clients, partners, and space agencies.
- Facilitate client, partner, and agency reviews, presenting findings, addressing concerns, and securing approvals.
- Organise and lead regular internal meetings (project team stand‑ups, multi‑project reviews, and management briefings) to keep everyone aligned and informed.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, implementing proactive strategies to safeguard successful outcomes.
- Communicate clearly with all stakeholders, fostering strong relationships with clients, space agencies, industrial partners, and internal teams.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with:
- A Master's degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in the space or high-tech industry.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with space industry standards and processes is an advantage.
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

At Micro-Cameras & Space Exploration S.A., we offer:
- The opportunity to work on cutting-edge space exploration projects.
