What You'll Do:

SkyMind’s Cloud Development team builds a next-generation visibility platform that allows our customers (mainly pharma companies, but also logistics service provider) to monitor the temperature and position of their shipments in real-time. They combine this with sophisticated risk assessment capabilities, alert functionality and simulation models that allow predictions of potential issues, e.g., because a container was forgotten on a runway in Dubai. The team use modern, standard technology, constantly optimize our development processes, and have close and direct interaction with our product management function

In this role you'll also:

• Design and lead delivery of E2E scalable, maintainable technical solutions aligned with enterprise architecture principles to address complex business needs
• Produce detailed architecture deliverables such as diagrams, system designs, and technical specifications
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business needs into clear technical requirements
• Own complex integrations and API definitions, and support implementation by troubleshooting issues with the team
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, selecting the right tools and platforms to meet business and technical goals
• Drive and develop proof-of-concepts (POCs) and critical code components to validate and guide solutions
• Design and implement high-quality server-side code and meet coding standards
• Build and evolve services based on Java (Quarkus), JPA/Hibernate and SQL
• Communicate technical concepts and design decisions effectively to executives, business leaders, and technical teams
• Ensure quality and compliance with best practices through business alignment, design reviews, testing strategies and performance assessments
• Track and transparently communicate project progress, technical decisions and critical issues while developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans
• Contribute to strategic planning by aligning the solutions designed with overall business goals
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for solution designs (e.g. architecture diagrams, system diagrams, and user stories)
• Contribute to the improvement of development processes and methodologies
• Assist with investigation and resolution of complex technical issues
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Proven experience in a solution architect or similar role
• Very good experience in creating and designing complex solutions and business processes
• System integration expertise for designing seamless E2E solutions
• Familiarity with domain-driven design is a plus
• Proven experience in requirements engineering, business process modelling and system design
