The Christine Kühne - Center for Allergy Research and Education (CK-CARE) research consortium located at the Medicine Campus Davos, Switzerland is hiring a highly motivated
Co-Lead Biobank (100%)
CK-CARE comprises five clinical and basic research facilities in Switzerland and Germany with the main focus on
Allergology and Dermatology. The Medicine Campus Davos integrates medical care (with
Hochgebirgsklinik Davos), translational and basic research in one place. Patients benefit from individually adapted rehabilitative care, acute diagnostics, prevention medicine and treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases.
We are looking for a highly motivated person to expand CK-CAREs translational research activities within our
CK-CARE facilities in Davos.
Your Profile
Degree as BTA or MTA (laboratory technician)
Or degree in Life Sciences (BSc or MSc) in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline (University degree or applied science)
Minimum 2 years of experience in working with human samples under S2-laboratory conditions (incl.
PBMC isolation and cell culture techniques)
Knowledge of Biobanking and related processes (experience is a plus)
Familiar with ICH-GCP and molecular and cellular biology techniques (e.g. RNA/DNA isolation, qPCR,
FACS, ELISA)
Interested in learning and developing additional skills and methods
Good knowledge of standard software packages (e.g. MS-Office)
Responsible and outstanding organization skills, detailed oriented
Strong interpersonal skills and a strong team player
Languages: English, German is a plus
Job Description - in this role you are training biobank personnel and coordinate biobank activities (in a co-leading function) processing of biobank samples, sample management and logistics incl. shipments, inventory and sample distribution responsible for data entry and documentation monitoring and documenting biobank processes and equipment maintaining and creating new relevant QM documents in close collaboration with the Quality Manager a member of the project review team of biobank sample requests and conduct required lab services willing to take over on duty call on a rotating basis within the team
