Idemitsu Innovation Europe AG is a subsidiary of Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. based in Basel, Switzerland. The company was created through a joint development project between Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. and BASF Switzerland AG. On 1 April 2017, this project was spun off from BASF and became a wholly owned subsidiary of Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd.
Idemitsu has a strategic goal to transform itself from a traditional oil and gas company into a sustainable energy solution provider. In Basel we look for technology and startups that will support this strategic intent.
