As Category Manager you are responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies with 3rd party suppliers in support of CSL group`s procurement strategy.

You are responsible for category management, strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, contracting, and ongoing supplier management for the IT and Digital category.

You coordinates with IT category leads, IT services/budget leaders and important interfaces including legal, data privacy, alliance management and accounts payable.

You have an entrepreneurial and hands-on mindset and you collaborate with other procurement functions and key stakeholders to ensure alignment of procurement strategies. in this position you will report to the Director, Strategic Sourcing - Technology Global Indirect Sourcing.

Responsibilities:

• Leads RFx events from concept to contract closure and handover to the budget holder/service owners
• Contributes to development and implementation of procurement category and sourcing strategies for IT and Digital aligning with company objectives, IT vision and budgetary constraints.
• Accountable for consistent delivery of supplier contracts ensuring quality, reliability, cost and delivery standards.
• Identify opportunities for supplier base consolidation, fostering supplier innovation for indirect services, conduct supplier evaluations, and negotiate contracts to ensure optimal value and service quality.
• Partners with stakeholders to define, review and monitor supplier performance
• Improves systems and processes to deliver greater efficiency and effectiveness of service
• Monitors market trends, analyze supplier performance, and identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvement, and risk mitigation in indirect service procurement.
• Ensures compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and ethical standards in procurement activities, including contract management and supplier diversity initiatives.
• Utilizes procurement software and data analytics tools to track key performance metrics, generate reports, and inform decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in either Technical or Business field
• Minimum of 7 years' related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or a Master's degree; or equivalent directly related work experience
• Extensive experience in IT sourcing category with focus on software licenses and Infrastructure required
• Demonstrated success negotiating complex supply agreements with aggressive timeliness.
• A team player, with experience Working in a multi-national, multi-cultural environment across time-zones with virtual teams
• MBA and/or CPSM/CPM desired but not required
• Strong leadership and effective business partnering capabilities – influencing and initiative will be key
• Requires ability to deal with ambiguity and the corresponding capacity to make decisions or recommendations based on potentially incomplete information
• Experience with hands on analysis and data interpretation; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites required
• Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
• Robust knowledge of the strategic sourcing and category management process
