Field Service Application Engineer - LC-MS (Switzerland & Eastern France)

We are currently looking for a Field Service Application Engineer - LC-MS (FSAE) to join the Switzerland & France Regional Customer Support Organization (CSO). You will be a part of a professional team of Application Specialists in the Agilent's Life Sciences and Applied Markets Group. In this role, you will support our customers by providing application support and demonstrating our instrumentation and analytical workflows to our clients across Switzerland. 

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Understand customer's challenges, recommend solutions, and ensure highest customer satisfaction
  • Communicate & position the results to customers through presentations, scientific conferences, seminars, workshops, digital content generation and user meetings
  • Travel to customer sites to install our solutions, implement methods, provide application consulting, and deliver on-site customer trainings classes
  • Provide your application and market expertise at every level of the value chain, by working closely with product managers, marketing managers, sales teams, customer support and opinion leaders
  • Maintain and expand your expertise including the latest scientific findings, market & technology trends, industry benchmarks & regulations and positioning of the competition
  • Work closely with the pre-sales team, to ensure our customer promises will match our customer expectations
  • As the Regional Switzerland & France Field Service Application Engineer you will deliver internal trainings/workshops and mentoring related to main standardized applications, to other CSO members developing their applications/workflow capabilities"

For this role, you would ideally be based in Switzerland working remotely by travelling to customer sites in the country and also in Eastern France.

Qualifications

We are looking for a motivated individual with the following background: 

  • University Degree in Life Science (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology…) 
  • Significant hands-on experience on method development with LC-MS 
  • A first customer facing, training or teaching experience would be a strong plus
  • Full fluency in English. Additional fluency in French and/or German would be a strong advantage

On a personal level, you are customer oriented, proactive and you like solving problems. You enjoy sharing your expertise and working both autonomously and as part of an international team. Finally, you also have great communication skills to interact with many internal and external partners.
