Intern Process Development and Optimization (m/f/x) –

Role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Bio Process Development team in Bern for 6 months. You will play an important role in developing a plasma-protein purification technology planned to be integrated into current production facilities. Within Process Development we are continuously trying to improve current processes, focusing especially on efficiency.

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Perform experiments, document your work accurately, and verify results

• Perform routine maintenance and calibration on critical instrumentation

• Perform routine analytical measurements

• Buffer preparation

• Write a report at the end of the internship to document your findings

Experience in the following areas is an advantage:

• (Tangential Flow) Filtration or other membrane filtration processes

• Liquid Chromatography

• Data analysis

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or enrollment) in Biotechnology or other relevant field.

• Highly motivated and strong interpersonal skills

• Able to work in a team as well as semi-autonomously; establish

• priorities and proceed with objectives according to the team’s goals

• Think outside of the box to find solutions to problems

• Good communication and organizational skills

• Language proficiency: fluent in German or English
