WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

This Site Controller for our office at Plan-les-Ouates, is a key contributor to the Finance and Accounting Team in Crane NXT’s CPI business. The candidate will have complete ownership of Full P&L, Balancesheet, and Free Cash Flow Statement and will be responsible for Maintaining and forecasting accurate financial statements for our Swiss and French legal entities. The position affords exposure across the global organization.

The Site Controller will have a direct impact on our Finance group, responsible for:

  • Primary accounting leader for CPI in Geneva, Solothurn and France.
  • Primary accounting leader for maintaining general ledger including preparing, reviewing, and approving month end JEs (Journal Entries).
  • Leads in developing and maintaining appropriate financial closing policies, narratives and procedures for GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley compliance
  • Ensures that effective internal controls are in place to ensure compliance with US GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial reporting as well as the protection of company assets.
  • Prepares financial statements and supporting schedules, such as Balance Sheets, Cash Flow statements and Income statements; Reconcile discrepancies and analyze variances.
  • Prepares key account reconciliations, yearend cooperate and tax binders, maintain fixed assets records and assist in the resolution of business challenges.
  • Embraces continuous improvement initiatives and drives necessary change and improvement to enhance internal controls, better financial reporting as well as improved budget and forecast accuracy as applicable.
  • Manages external and internal auditor relationships to facilitate completion of audit procedures in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Leads and motivates immediate direct reports by coaching, counseling, engaging, and evaluating associate performance through the Crane Intellectual Capital Process.
  • Establishes, implements, manages, and monitors critical accounting and reporting processes and associated metrics. Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You will bring forecasting and financial statement expertise with well demonstrated success in month end close analysis.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum 8 -10 years of experience with increasingly responsible positions
  • Bachelor’s degree required and/or “Brevet Fédéral Suisse” in Accounting.
  • Fluency in English and French is a must (oral and written).
  • Must have solid knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and internal controls affecting areas of responsibilities.
  • Direct experience in all areas of responsibilities noted above.
  • Technology savvy. Strong Computer literacy in Microsoft office applications.
  • Working knowledge of Hyperion and Advanced Excel skills are required.
  • SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of accounting and financial principles.
  • Track record of managing multiple priorities under pressure situations within tight deadlines.
  • Minimum experience in team management.
