A PhD student or Post-Doc position is available in the Molecular Immunology lab at the
Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB) in Bellinzona, Switzerland
(www.irb.usi.ch/molecular-immunology), to join projects aimed at understanding the role of
RNA-binding proteins in immunity.
Have you recently obtained a Master or PhD degree in a field related to immunology or
molecular biology? Are you fluent in spoken and written English? Are you highly motivated
and excited about learning new skills and developing independent thinking? Please apply!
The research topic concerns the study of post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression
in cells of the immune system, especially related to autoimmunity. The general goal is to
extend our knowledge of the mechanisms that regulate immune cell differentiation and
functions in health and disease.
With access to state-of-the-art facilities and a vibrant environment that favors the exchange
of knowledge and ideas through journal clubs, seminars and talks, you will have the
opportunity to address mechanistic questions relevant to immune responses. The lab is
