For our global project implementation we are looking in Pratteln/CH for:
Master Data Lead for SAP S/4 HANA implementation
In order to support our global SAP S/HANA implementation (Greenfield) as well as the continuous improvement of the Master Data Management function post project, the Master Data (MDM) Lead is equally a Business & Technology role, responsible for the entire design and global implementation of the Master Data Management function (standards and governance) in accordance with SAP best practices for chemicals as well as specific business needs.
Job description and responsibilities
Responsibilities pre Project Go Live:
- End-to-end responsibility of the MDM solution design and implementation (principles, objects, etc.) in alignment with process owners and overarching strategic requirements
- Responsible for the definition and implementation of relevant governance
- Responsible for the definition and execution of a "light weight / minimum" legacy data cleansing and master data migration strategy
- Recruitment and onboarding of a near-shore team to support/execute all of the above pre Go Live and to maintain and operate the MDM function post Go Live
- Responsible to create documentation regarding processes and governance, and ensure training across the organization
Responsibilities post Project Go Live:
- Ownership of global as well as site-specific ERP master data, ensuring a robust governance process and alignment to business requirements as well as applicable standards and regulations
- Serving as a subject matter expert in master data management, metadata management, and data governance operations beyond the ERP
- Constant monitoring of master data against the currently used data in various business processes to identify the gaps, discrepancies and the opportunities to further improve quality of master data and dependent business processes or management reports
- Leads a near-shore team of functional master data associates providing MDM operational support while maintaining master data throughout the entire lifecycle
Required qualifications and experience
- Master's degree either from IT, Supply chain management or Engineering
- Master data management certification highly preferred. Technology savvy: data extraction and analytics capabilities
- 5+ years in master data management in an international manufacturing environment (ideally within the chemical industry), or working in a consulting company implementing projects of similar complexity
- Team player with proven project management skills and continuous improvement mindset. Strong communication, negotiation and mentoring skills
- Highly analytical thinking, structured working approach
- Fluent in English, additional languages a plus
