Your mission at Climeworks is to support the evaluation and development of sorbent structures for direct air capture.
You support design, manufacturing and industrialization of sorbent structures
You test structures for stability, and for structural integrity.
You work independently on work packages to understand and/or improve the manufacturability in the early stages of product development and you support the evaluation of new ideas quickly
You validate, troubleshoot, and document the work and meeting you do clearly to communicate to others at Climeworks in the context of larger projects.
You have or working towards a bachelor’s or a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, production engineering, materials science, or similar. A completed technical vocational training is beneficial but not required.
You are available for a 6-month internship.
You enjoy working hands-on in the lab or in the workshop, and you have some experience with prototyping.
You can operate CAD software and have first experiences in design and simulation of parts and assemblies.
You have a deepened understanding of manufacturing processes for metals and polymers, knowledge about composites is beneficial.
You have enthusiasm for problem-solving and creative thinking.
Familiarity with CO2 capture is beneficial but not required.
You are eager to learn new concepts, skills, and tools that you might need to complete your assignments.
You are reliable, motivated, solution-oriented, concise, and have a structured working style.
You are fluent in English; knowledge of German or other languages is beneficial but not required
