In this position, you assist in the implementation and the development of the manufacturing processes at our new production site in Nidau BE.

Your mission

• Assist in the development and implementation of various lens manufacturing processes and manufacturing systems to contribute to production launch of STAAR ICL products in Switzerland
• Drive project execution and team member accountability by applying project management skills in international and multi-disciplinary teams
• Apply and/or mentor colleagues to statistical and analytical methods such as SPC, R&R Gage and DOE
• Establish test methods, make observations and measurements, interpret data and write technical reports
• Develop manufacturing process controls and documentation
• Qualify new tooling, equipment and processes (IQ, OQ; PQ)
• Train technicians and operators as necessary for protocols and procedures

Your profile

• Engineering degree as well at least 3-5 years of working experience
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing practices for Medical or pharma field
• Experience in the Medical device industry as well in project management is highly desired
• Machining background is a plus
• Mother tongue German or French with excellent English skills (oral and written)
• Proficient MS Office Skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.)
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Flexible, autonomous and open-minded personality
