WinGD is looking for a

 

Development Engineer Welded Structures Simulation 

 

As a Development Engineer specializing in welded structures simulation, your role will involve assessing and enhancing the structural components of large two-stroke diesel engines such as crankcase, charging unit, catalytic reactor, exhaust manifold and more.

In this position, you will collaborate closely with the R&D team on technically challenging tasks, providing you with ample opportunities for significant growth in engineering expertise and knowledge.

Responsibilities


  • Responsible for the assessment and development of structural components, primarily welded structures

  • Assist in the layout, design, and optimization of components

  • Conduct finite element simulations and prepare simulation reports

  • Apply and improve internal FE calculation approaches

  • Failure analysis and development of repair solutions in case of damages

 

Requirements:


  • MSc Mechanical Engineering (Ing. ETH or HTL / FH or equivalent)

  • Good knowledge of design and stress assessment of mechanical components

  • Experience with FEM software (preferably ANSYS) required

  • Experience with APDL, Python and LaTeX is beneficial

  • Fluent in English, and German proficiency is beneficial; good oral and written communication skills

  • Independent, self-driven, and target-oriented way of working
